Maymont Park Senior Pictures in Richmond VA

If you love flowers, greenery, and a soft, romantic feel, Maymont is always a favorite. There are so many different areas within the park, which makes it easy to create a lot of variety without having to travel between locations.

• Best for: soft, feminine, natural look
• Best season: spring through early fall
• Offers: gardens, water, stone paths, open greenery

Tip: Weekday evenings tend to be less crowded and give us the best light.

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) Senior Pictures in Richmond VA

For a more modern and clean look, VMFA is such a great option. The architecture and open spaces give a more elevated, editorial feel while still keeping things simple and timeless.

• Best for: modern, clean, slightly dressy look
• Best season: year-round
• Offers: architecture, neutral tones, open space

Tip: This is a great location if you want to mix casual and dressier outfits in one session.

Tredegar Iron Works Senior Pictures in Richmond VA

Tredegar has a completely different feel from most Richmond locations. Between the historic brick, metal textures, and views of the James River, it creates a slightly more urban and bold look while still feeling timeless.

• Best season: spring, summer, fall
• Offers: brick, river views, industrial textures

Tip: This location pairs really well with neutral outfits and a mix of casual and styled looks.

University of Richmond Senior Pictures in Richmond VA

The University of Richmond campus is one of the most classic and polished locations in the area. The architecture, columns, and landscaping give a very clean and traditional look that photographs beautifully.

• Best season: year-round
• Offers: architecture, greenery, refined campus feel

Tip: This is a great option if you love a more preppy or traditional look.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Senior Pictures in Richmond VA

Lewis Ginter is another beautiful option if you love flowers and color. It offers a slightly more structured garden feel compared to Maymont, with vibrant seasonal blooms and a polished look.
