What I love most about photographing seniors is being a part of such a special moment in a family's life and being able to capture stunning portraits of their baby before he or she is off on their own and going to college. I love hearing proud parents tell me all about their child's accomplishments and also how much they are going to miss him or her. Oftentimes, tears are shed because it is such an emotional and pivotal moment in a child's life. And that is exactly how it was for Gabrielle's parents. Her mom was with us during our session and told me how Gabrielle made an incredibly mature decision to be homeschooled in high school and how responsible and smart she is. Gabrielle is not only absolutely stunning but is such a fun, sweet and reserved girl. She loves drawing, art, photography, horseback riding, exploring nature and new places and enjoys trying new food and restaurants. It wasn't at all surprising to me that she choose Maymont and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts as her locations for her session. I just love Gabrielle and her family so much and am so excited to hear all about the amazing things she does at James Madison University. Go Dukes!!!
